Replacing the HHS Swamp Creatures
RFK Jr. Has His Work Cut out For Him
President-elect Donald Trump has caused quite a stir by nominating RFK Jr. as head of HHS, sending the opportunistic creatures that inhabit the Biden administration’s HHS swamp creatures scampering into the shadows. Their handlers- big pharma and corrupt educational systems, have stirred up a media frenzy since their free reign over controlling the public through intimidation, threats, gaslighting, and unfounded fear, is coming to an end.
RFK Jr. will need Senate approval but with the sweeping success of Republicans controlling both houses, his appointment is pretty well guaranteed.
With a proposed $130.7 billion in discretionary and $1.7 trillion in mandatory proposed budget authority for the 2025 fiscal year, HHS is no monetary lightweight. (1)
HHS has 13 operating divisions, including 10 agencies in the U.S. Public Health Service and three human services agencies. While there are well-meaning and competent people working in many of these departments, at least 3 departments are run by corrupt, unscrupulous individuals.
They proved this during the COVID-19 pandemic. Disinformation campaigns, character assignation, unconstitutional overreaching authority through mandates, forced vaccinations, lies, manipulation of facts, and gaslighting people and groups that stood up against government interference in healthcare decisions that should only be made between patient and healthcare provider.
The 3 agencies that directly affect every American are the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), The National Institute of Health (NIH) and The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), all appointed by the president and confirmed by the senate.
The new appointments include:
- Director of the CDC: Dave Weldon. He earned his MD and is a former veteran who questions vaccine safety and has advocated shifting vaccine safety research away from the CDC, citing conflicts of interest. (2)
During the pandemic, the CDC was front and center in all things covid related. From contact tracing to the deadly fast-tracked vaccines and mask mandates, the CDC was the most visible face of overreaching authority. Will Dr. Weldon reign in the strong-arm tactics of the CDC during the next pandemic?
- Director of the NIH: Jay Bhattacharya, a vocal opponent of pandemic lockdowns and vaccine mandates. The NIH oversees gain of function research, which Dr. Peter McCullough and colleagues have called for a ban. Will Dr. Bhattacharya put an end to the gain of function research? (3,4)
- Commissioner of the FDA: Johns Hopkins surgeon Marty Makary. During the pandemic, he advocated for natural immunity, labeled the federal government as the ‘greatest perpetrator” of misinformation during the pandemic, and questioned vaccine mandates and prolonged school closures. (5)
During the pandemic, FDA created, the Coronavirus Treatment Acceleration Program (CTAP), and pushed ineffective and deadly medications for covid, namely remdesivir. Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine were withheld from COVID-19 patients for no good reason.
Will Dr. Makary be able to overcome big pharma control and champion the disinformation campaign leveraged against the public? Will we be able to make healthcare decisions between ourselves and our healthcare providers without government interference?
We have time to reflect on the disastrous past four years while we await the inauguration of President Trump. Will we allow the government to dictate our healthcare decisions, or did we learn our lesson during the pandemic?
