When you sign up for Free Rx, we will send you an email with instructions that walk you through a few simple steps to complete the registration process.

Your Free Rx ID care is digital, so you will receive it immediately upon completing the registration process.

Your Free Rx card is accepted at over 3000 pharmacies across the country. In the event that your pharmacy does not accept the card, it’s most likely because their computer system has not been updated. If you determine that your pharmacy doesn’t accept the card, please contact our call center to request that it be added.  

ACUTE – Medications for acute needs are not filled by the mail order pharmacy. You will need to take acute care prescriptions to your local pharmacy to be filled right away. All medications that we provide for acute care will be covered, within quantity limits. Exceeding quantity limits will result in additional fees.

CHRONIC – Medications for chronic conditions must be ordered by mail and will be filled within three to five business days. Prescriptions for these medications under the Free Rx program cannot be filled at your local pharmacy. We offer expedited shipping for an additional fee.

We utilize USPS as our primary shipping partner.

Expedited shipping is handled by FedEx, at a cost of $15.99 for two-day shipping.

Our pharmacy does not collect any money on medications listed on the formulary for our Free Rx program. This means that we cannot fill any medications that are not listed on the formulary.

We do collect money for expedited shipping, which you can request when placing your order.

NEW PRESCRIPTIONS – To fill a new prescription, ask your doctor to send it to America’s Pharmacy Source. Make sure that it is on the formulary and prescribed for a chronic condition. If you see one of our doctors, they will submit the prescription via our electronic health record (ERX). If you see your regular provider, let them know to send the information to America’s Pharmacy Source and provide them with the phone or fax number, which is 1-833-870-3460.  Your doctor can also submit by ERX. 

TRANSFER EXISTING PRESCRIPTION – If you already have an existing prescription on file with a local pharmacy and would like to transfer it to America’s Pharmacy Source, call America’s Pharmacy Source at 1-833-870-3460.  When you call, be prepared to provide them with the name of the pharmacy where the prescription is currently filled, the pharmacy’s phone number and the name of the medication.
