Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Gary Peters (D-MI) are spearheading the effort that promises to not only investigate the origins of COVID-19 but also to investigate the broader issue of the national security threats posed by high-risk biological research and technology.

One of the most dangerous and long-lasting impacts from the pandemic is a complete loss of trust in the medical establishment. To restore faith in our public health officials , and to restore faith in the doctor-patient relationship, we must undertake an honest and thorough review of what the origins of this deadly virus were.”

Dear Senators Paul and Peters,
We write today, on behalf of the Chief Medical Board of The Wellness Company, in strong support of your bipartisan efforts to investigate the origins of COVID-19, as well as to investigate the broader issue of the national security threats posed by high-risk biological research and technology.
The Wellness Company was founded in the wake of our nation’s disastrous response to COVID-19. From the very earliest days of existence, our company pledged to do all we could to make sure that the mistakes made during the last pandemic were never made again.
Our Chief Medical Board, which is made up of some of the best and brightest medical and scientific minds, stands ready to assist the Senate in this critical investigation.
We are willing to make any of our experts available for written or in-person testimony, to share any and all applicable research, and to assist in any other way we can to help make sure this investigation is successful.
While pandemics do occur as a function of nature, it is inexcusable that we should be subject to a man-made disaster; only a thorough investigation and exposure of the true origins of SARS-CoV-2 will allow us to avoid this tragedy in the future.

The reality is that it was clear from the beginning that this was simply not true.
We are heartened that Senators Paul and Peters have promised a thorough and comprehensive investigation to rectify the misinformation and disinformation that was spread about COVID and its origins.
Senators Paul and Peters have pledged to hold hearings and conduct government-wide oversight on areas including high-risk life science research, biodefense, synthetic biology, biosafety and biosecurity lapses, early warning capabilities for emerging outbreaks or possible attacks, and potential origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the Paul-Peters bipartisan effort pledges to assess and identify measures to mitigate longstanding and emerging risks and threats that may result in serious biological incidents – whether deliberate, accidental, or natural.
Finally, this investigation promises to seek to increase transparency and strengthen oversight of taxpayer-funded life sciences research, laboratories in the U.S. and abroad, and detection of biological threats.
