Typical application includes:

• Apply a moisturizer either immediately before or after the topical treatment. Use sunscreen while using this medication.
• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area once or twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare provider. 
• Dot a pea-sized amount on your forehead, cheeks, and chin, then evenly spread it across your face, avoiding the eyelids, corners of the nose, and mouth. 
• For the first 1-2 weeks, use the formula every other night to allow your skin to adjust; once tolerance is established, you can typically increase to nightly use as tolerated. 
• Avoid applying the medication on sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin. 
• If the medication gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse the area thoroughly with water. Do not use this medication with other topical preparations containing sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid, as this may increase the risk of side effects. 
• If skin irritation occurs, reduce the frequency of use; if irritation persists, stop the medication and contact your physician or dermatologist.
