In the late 80’s I took on Big Tobacco as the lone physician in Western Canada publicly denouncing their predatory marketing practices. That was Big Stuff, and working in concert with others, modestly successful. And now major issues of similar importance face society. For the last three years I have been a vocal activist countering the entire Covid narrative internationally; so I was elated when asked to join the Board of the Canadian subsidiary of The Wellness Company (TWC). I see the potential of TWC becoming a lightening rod in the transformation of traditional medicine from ‘pill pushing’ by Big Pharma to a major focus on prevention. That’s Big Stuff too, and together with my esteemed colleagues in TWC we’re going to put our shoulders to the task!"
About Dr. Hodkinson
Dr Hodkinson is a medical specialist in pathology, a graduate of Cambridge University and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. During his long career he has had a number of leadership roles in Canadian medicine both provincially and nationally, including being a university teacher, Chairman of the Royal College general pathology examination committee, and laboratory accreditation inspector.
He was previously the President of the Alberta Society of Laboratory Physicians, an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta, and CEO of community based medical laboratories in Canada, Michigan and California with a full menu of testing including molecular diagnostics.
His major current role is Chairman of a late stage American biotechnology company about to commercialize patented DNA sequencing diagnostics for infectious disease and cancer screening.
He is very happily married to Nicole Beaudoin, and they have two wonderfully different children who are the principle motivation for his political involvement.
